PROGRAM DIRECTOR MESSAGE
Many properties in the New York Metropolitan area and Long Island are between 50 and 100 years old and need repair. Old, outdated and dangerous; electric, plumbing, windows, roofs, kitchens and bathrooms are common. Many structures are built prior to code and are failing. The financial cost of repairs, general maintenance, and dealing with contractors can be overwhelming, and in most cases just doesn’t make sense. All of this is further aggravated by a millennial movement which has caused the cost of living to skyrocket in many areas. Higher property taxes and less deductions add a further burden. It’s this combination of aged homes, cost of living and quality of life that drives the need for this new program. Additionally, many homeowners are struggling with tax or mortgage payments, or have fallen behind and are facing foreclosure. Some have turned to a reverse mortgage for help. It’s important to note this will not disqualify you from the program.
I’m proud to head up the REBUILD62 Program. Its purpose is to provide an easy and trustworthy process for homeowners who are 62 and over to sell and transition to a property better suited for their current needs.
